How to appear deep

When we sincerely call someone deep it is because we respect and admire their intellectual prowess. But really, deepness is all about appearance and execution. Someone is only deep because they are able to exude an outward appearance of non-shallowness through years of practice and adherence to The Unfathomable Rules, a set of precepts that must be followed at all times:
  1. Don’t talk. Ever.
  2. Wear glasses (preferably pince-nez) or dress badly.
  3. Be sad at regular intervals, for no apparent reason.
  4. Break conversations with laconic statements.
But for the beginner in the art of deepness, all you really need to do is create a crappy drawing or story and append some sort of symbolism to it. A-like so:

The example here is a bad drawing of a man with little notes around him. The longdesc is at www.desiquintans.com/deeplongdesc
