159. Binge.

Other young people may be out tonight or tomorrow night binge drinking, having alcohol- or drug-fuelled casual sex, all that jazz and kids these days and so on, but I got myself a copy of Supreme Commander before the last-minute shoppers had their way with the mall parking spaces and now I will sit here alone in front of the computer like every other Christmas and public holiday, except this time I'm going to be doing my part ending the Infinite War.

I wanted to say that I owed it to the birth of Jesus Christ Himself to conquer a vast battlefield in my underwear, but this would be complete fabrication, because I am always fully dressed.

I worked til midnight on Christmas day...then again on Boxing Day.

Now I hear I'm working 9am - 11pm on New Years Eve...plus an 8pm - 10:30pm shift on New Years Day...

Damn Christmas, its a crappy day. I spent 3 hrs at work, 2 hrs travelling, 4hrs with the family and 6 hrs with friends.

I don't get to see my girlfriend on NYE either. She's going to see her nephews in Penrith while I'll be at work purposely dropping plates for the lulz. Won;t be spending my NYE with family either since they buggered off to the coast for a week.

So where does that leave me? Well, basically get home, take a shower, play some ECSBBAAWWWWKKSSSS til 11:59pm....then drink as much as I can and cheer myself to a healthy and prosperous 2008.

Dude, that's basically me, except sans drinking. My girlfriend is off getting shit-faced with her mates in the City, and it's better for me not to be there because I wouldn't drink and would probably be boring and a wet blanket.

The plan is to sit here until I can no longer stand feeling lonely, at which point I'll take my car and drive and drive and drive. Or maybe I'll just go to sleep.

But either way I'll be lonely, and I think even if I was with her I'd be lonely in that party scene that I want nothing to do with, and I cannot wait until my girlfriend grows old and bitter like me, and finally sees what I see.
