Monkey Magic.

In case you haven’t heard of Monkey Magic before (why not?), it’s based on Chinese lore that involves a monk going to India to retrieve Buddhist scriptures, though the real hero of the series is Monkey, who is the monk’s companion during the quest.

If you’ve ever watched a grainy martial arts TV show that had a man with a golden headband and sideburns that came down to his chin, you saw Monkey Magic. Unfortunately, from what I saw on the news the actor playing Monkey doesn’t have crazy-long sideburns. I hope they show the remake here in Aussie Land.
