User-Friendly?

I’ve gone to great lengths to make the site as usable as possible.

What’s so usable?

Usability refers to the features, design, media and organisation of content on a website, and how intuitive they are to the user. If you can navigate a website you’ve never visited before with no problem, then that site is user-friendly (in regards to navigation).

Usability is very closely linked to modem-friendliness.

Here’s a list of things I’ve done to make the site friendlier for you:

  1. Very minimalist design so that modem users do not have to wait long
  2. Links are a whole different color to other page elements, and change color when visited, moused over etc.
  3. Links that lead to pages outside the desiquintans.com domain are marked by the external link icon, which looks like .
  4. At the last minute and at great expense, items in the navigation bar are graded according to the likelihood of being clicked on and their logical relatonship with other items.
  5. Subheadings are applied where appropriate to facilitate skimming.
